some time in a
very
declining state of health, and is now in
such
an
alarming state of debility and
atrophy, arising from functional or organic disease of the liver and spleen, especially, the latter, that ... I am of opinion that his life-
depends upon
his immediate removal to a
more
congenial climate; and I would recommend that a sick leave of absence should be obtained for him, so that he may at once proceed to England or the South of Europe; for which end a leave of six months' absence should be requested from ...
